Refund & Cancellation Policy

Last updated: October 26, 2026

Most airline fares carry rules set by the airline about refunds and changes. We show the refund and change conditions for each fare before you book, and they appear again in your confirmation.

Within 24 hours of booking

[POLICY TO CONFIRM WITH COUNSEL AND DUFFEL: e.g. "For bookings made at least 7 days before departure, you can cancel for a full refund within 24 hours of booking where the airline allows it." U.S. DOT rules require airlines to offer a 24-hour hold or free cancellation on qualifying bookings; how this applies to tickets sold through us depends on the airline.]

Airline cancellations and significant changes

If the airline cancels your flight or makes a significant change (for example a large schedule change, a different departure or arrival airport, or extra connections) and you choose not to travel, you are entitled to a refund to your original form of payment under U.S. Department of Transportation rules, including for non-refundable fares. Contact us and we will process it promptly; we will not offer travel credit in place of a refund you are owed unless you choose it.

Cancelling a booking yourself

Changing a booking

Date, route and name changes depend on the airline and fare. You pay any airline change fee and the fare difference. [CHANGE SERVICE FEE, IF ANY.]

How to ask

Email [SUPPORT EMAIL] with your booking reference, or use the request option on your trip page when you are signed in. We confirm what the airline will refund before we cancel anything, and nothing is cancelled until you agree.

Timing

Card refunds are issued within 7 business days of the airline approving them, as DOT rules require for credit card purchases. Your bank may take a few more days to show it.

If ticketing fails

If we take your payment but cannot issue your ticket, we will refund you in full, including our fee.
